Venues I love

Venues; without doubt one of the biggest bookings for your day and most likely your first. Choosing the backdrop for your day is a big decision, but oh so exciting, thinking through questions such as is the venue licensed for Civil Ceremonies, can the venue hold the Ceremony and Reception?

HEART FULL OF TEA maybe based in the beautiful city of Bath, but I do shoot anywhere in the UK. I also like to think of the environment and I try to work with local venues and suppliers where possible. Its nice to have photographed at a venue before but it doesn’t matter if I haven’t and I don’t need to visit a venue before your big day either. It’s definitely a good time to start thinking about the logistics too, will there be a turnover time of rooms and where will your guests go during this time for example?

Having some insider knowledge of venues when you’re just starting out your planning can really be handy. I’ve put together a list of the coolest wedding venues that I love to shoot in and around Bath and the Cotswolds. They have become my favourites for various reasons, their character and style, whether that be grand national trust buildings, alternative urban spaces or a field on a farm. I have photographed awesome weddings at these venues and would happily to shoot at any one of them again. Kin House, Findon and Dewsall being absolute faves.
