Beltane or Beltain (pron.: /ˈbɛlteɪn/) (also Beltine or Beltaine)[1] is the Gaelic May Day festival. Most commonly it is held on 30 April–1 May, or halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. It was observed in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. In Irish it is Bealtaine ([ˈbʲal̪ˠt̪ˠənʲə]), in Scottish Gaelic Bealltainn ([ˈpjaul̪ˠt̪ˠɪɲ]) and in Manx Gaelic Boaltinn or Boaldyn. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals; along with Samhain, Imbolc and Lughnasadh. (more…)

I’d rather go now with you, my dears,
I’d rather distract my soul from the yearning. Along a long road, and on a moonlit night,
Joanna and Andrew had the most beautifully hot day at one of my favourite venues How Caple Court. It is such a wonderful place to shoot, bucket loads of history, with gardens full of romanticism and magnificent edwardian architecture. These guys knew how to throw a party too, with probably one of the best ends to a first dance ever. Que groom, lifting bride onto the stage! Check out the reactions of the ‘crowd’ in the post! Thanks so much to the award winning Chris Barber for the invite and to Joanna and Andrew who made my job so easy.
I’m …

Where do I start? Seriously. This past year for me has been a challenge. I’ve had so many changes in my life but I feel I am starting 2013 enriched and more determined. I’ve shot over 10,000 photographs in the last 16 months, completed my first wedding season and begun the exciting process of building my business. (more…)
Ask yourself this…. are there two finer people in the world? (awkward pause) Thats because the answer is no. (more…)
